Enjoyed the story; however…. In previous books Edward was a Prisoner and had exchanged letters with Lily. No mention of that or his airplane going down. Too many mixups between ARP and ATS. Mixed up characters - ATS boss was not Jim, he was ARP. I did not mind those small errors, but I did mind the author forgot Edward was described as a POW in a Polish camp. Maybe with all the amnesia….

This is a nice third instalment to the series, it introduces lots of new issues faced during the war. I was interested to read what happened between Lily and her mother in the beginning and will be very interested on finding out what happens with them. I also like seeing Lily become even more independent and start getting involved in the physical and much more dangerous side of the war effort. It’s interesting to read an experience from a females point of view doing what was thought of then as a mans job. It’s also interesting to read about looters and lawbreakers during the war and how the rest of the population felt about them. It’s crazy that people were out doing that whilst people were blown up around them. I thoroughly enjoyed how the story ended and again leaves me eager to start the next one ASAP!

Great books but some disappointments I have redistributed the first 3 books in the Lily Baker series. However, I have been disappointed by the many errors in spelling and grammar. Obviously the books have not been checked thoroughly. This does not stop me enjoying these books but explains my 4 and not 5 star rating.
It has been interesting to read how people take on extra jobs to help with the war effort.
I look forward to reading the next book to see how Lily and Edward's romance progresses.

Good but could have been better I enjoyed this book but found it difficult in places to understand due to the poorly put together sentences. Also the fact that Edward was a prisoner of war in Germany in the last book was totally overlooked as he'd somehow managed to get to France in this book. I also didn't like there being no chapters in this book. I hope the spelling and grammar are better in book 4.

4.0 3rd book in the Lily Baker series and Lily has become bored in her job so decides to take on being an Air Raid Warden in war torn London. Lily knows this is going to be hard seeing what she will see in the nighttime bombing raids in London. She shares a place to live with Bronwyn who is a messenger riding through London. The girls find romance but also heartache but their friendship stays strong.

Very confusing Confusing, he wrote telling her he was in 1 place but at the end of the book the story changed totally and he hadn't been a prisoner of war

Lily's life as an ARP in the war was very different from her previous jobs. Work all day then her job through the night with bombshells going off. Life was so different then.

I really enjoyed this continuation of Lily’s story. I felt like I was there with her, experiencing everything with her and her friends. I’m looking forward to continuing her story in due course
