WalletHub
@WalletHub
The Disney Premier Credit Card credit score requirement is 700 or better. That means people with good credit or better have a shot at getting approved for the Disney Premier Credit Card.
You should note that while your credit score is an important factor, there are plenty of other things that will impact your chances of being approved for the Disney Premier Credit Card, too. Some other key criteria include your income, existing debt load, number of open accounts, recent credit inquiries, employment status and housing status.
If you excel in other areas, you might be able to get approved with a slightly lower credit score in some cases. But it's best to wait to apply until you meet the Disney Premier Credit Card credit score requirement. You can check your credit score for free on WalletHub.

How does this card work with being an international card holder (not from the USA-living in NZ and planning a trip to disney) Can you access your account online and is it simple to make payments to it? Also does anyone know how long you need to have the card before cancelling? I would like to use it for all the amazing perks and rack up points with paying for flights, accommodation and of course disneyland! but coming back home not sure the benefits of this card in NZ. any advice would be welcome :) Thanks!

Does the Disney Premier Credit Card do a hard pull?

Elisa Ford
@elisa_ford
Yes, the Disney Premier Credit Card will do a hard pull. You will need a credit score of at least 700 to get it and there is no way to get pre-approved.
A hard pull usually causes an applicant's credit score to drop by 5-10 points. Most people's scores bounce back within 3-6 months with responsible credit management, but it can take up to 12 months. You can learn more about how to minimize...

How can I get my Disney Premier Credit Card annual fee waived?

The issuer doesn't generally waive the Disney Premier Credit Card's annual fee. This credit card comes with many benefits that justify its annual fee, such as a signup bonus, rewards, and various Disney-related promotions.
However, as with any other credit card, if you're a long-time customer debating closing your account, a talk to customer service may help. To keep you as a cardmember, they might waive your annual fee or even offer you a lower APR. Just...

No, you cannot get the Disney Premier Credit Card with a cosigner. The card's issuer is among the majority of large credit card providers that don't allow cosigners. If you're unable to apply for the card on your own, you can consider becoming an authorized user on someone else's credit card.
As an authorized user, you get your own credit card with your name on it. You can use the card for purchases, and you have the opportunity...

If you have good or excellent credit and a family member with a Disney affinity, the Disney Premier Credit Card could ultimately provide some magical savings. You’ll receive a $100 initial bonus for spending at least $500 within the first three months of account opening, in addition to 2% back on Disney purchases as well as at gas stations, restaurants and grocery stores, plus 1% back on everything else. Your earning potential therefore depends on how much you spend in those bonus categories. Your ability to redeem your earnings, on the other hand, will depend on how often you make Disney purchases or indulge in air travel — your only two redemption options. Considering that lack of flexibility and the impressive value available elsewhere in the rewards-credit-card market, even ardent Disney fans may find a non-cobranded card to be more to their liking. If you’re on the fence, you can learn more about this offer from our full-length Disney Credit Card review: https://wallethub.com/edu/disney-credit-card-review/25988/.

Since we were headed to Disney World, I signed up for the card. Easy online acceptance. The $300 credit was a huge incentive and the perks to receive discounts at Disney restaurants and stores, plus to get a photo op with my grands at the park were great benefits; however the reality is that 90% of the restaurants are at the Disney resorts which we were not staying at. ONE restaurant participating at Magic Kingdom, NO photo ops locations at Magic Kingdom. Hugely disappointed in the host of benefits I was expecting. I will cancel as soon as we complete our trip.

We had submitted a request as usual to our bank on April 24 to send an eCheck [5 business days] to Chase by the 5/3 due date; with some delay, as 5/3 was a Sunday, it showed a 5/4 due date.
We started getting reminders starting 5/4 that my payment was overdue. As of 5/7 BB&T put in a stop payment on that eCheck, but it seems Chase thought they'd posted it the same day! But clearly it got cancelled, as they kept trying to post that and several other payments. COVID has allowed any direct contact with either Chase or the Disney Visa folks with no direct communication available that would have resolved this instantly!
On 5/16/2020 Chase finally realized there was a problem, and sent a RE-INSTATE AN ACCOUNT FOR ELECTRONIC PAYMENTS request. We complied with all the required info FAXed to Chase the same day, including a replacement payment from another bank account. No acknowledgement of the completed steps were ever received. Then we discovered that Chase had closed the account without calling or emailing us; instead a snail mail letter was sent that still has not arrived [5/28/2020]. Subsequent conversations with "Chase Customer Service" indicated that it looked like Chase had been using the wrong Bank Account number; also we were told that no managers were available. Pretty strange for folks who have been big time customers for 15 years, through Disney managing the card and at least 2 different banks before Chase.

I just received my denial letter and when I called to see why I was denied when I have a credit score of 750. I was told by the rep that I only have personal loan credit but no credit card credit. I have not wanted to get a credit card but now that I do they will not give me one because I don't have credit card credit haha.

As a lover of all things Disney this is a great card. It didn't hurt that it came with a great sign up offer which more than took care of the annual fee. You earn points that you can then put on a gift card for use at WDW, at least that is where I use it. One drawback is that there are a few places that will not accept the gift card - but they are usually the non-Disney owned merchants in Disney Springs. Otherwise this is a great card.

I signed up for this credit card while at Downtown Disney. It took only a few minutes to sign up and I was accepted on the spot! They created my card right at the kiosk. The $49 fee is a little pricey but it is worth it. Just for signing up you get a $100 Disney gift card. Over the past year I have ranked up close to $50 in the form of another Disney Gift Card. Other benefits of this card include private character meet & greets, exclusive Disney discounts and exclusive card holder events. This is a great card for starters.

Me and my family got an offer in the mail for this credit card we thought it would be perfect for us since we were going to Disney World for the first time.We applied for the card and got approved right away I like the sign up bonus they offered on this card and the fact that I can earn rewards each time I use this card and the points add up rather quickly. I also like the fact that we get 10% off in the Disney store since we have 4 kids it a good bargain for my family we did look at other cards but when we got this offer knew we had to have this card.

After being to Disneyland multiple times due to living in Socal and having friends that want to go several times a year, I signed up with the Disney credit card. The main reason being is that I wanted to acquire points and reward dollars back since I'm already spending money at Disneyland, especially when it comes to food and restaurants. While the card isn't spectacular outside Disneyland, the main appeal for me is the benefits while being at Disneyland or shopping at Disney. I mean how could you say no to an extra 10% off on stuff at the Disney store? That alone makes the card worth it.
If you are a fan of Disney, or go to Disneyland often I would recommend the Disney premier visa credit card. You will definitely save the money in the long run and the benefits will outpay any of the cost or fees.

I have a love/hate relationship with this card. It was great when I got the bonus for signing up and using my car. I liked that.I also like that there is no limit on how much I can earn or how much I can redeem. It's nice getting a discount when I buy things from the Disney Store. Using this card when we go to Disney has helped us earn even more rewards. I enjoy being able to earn rewards on all of my purchases too. When I've had to contact customer service regarding any issues, they've been extremely helpful.
The problem I have with this card is the annual fee. I use my card a lot, but I also pay off the balance every month. Also, for someone with a credit score as high as mine is, the APR is kind of high. I think this card has the highest out of any other card I have.

A Disney credit card was a must have for me considering that we live in close proximity to Florida and my kid is a big time Disney fan. Its a wonderful card for a family who often holidays in the Disney World as it offers you great discounts at the theme parks and upon booking Disney tours at certain Disney resorts. It does make your Disney vacation very affordable and enjoyable. These discounts even extend to any Disney merchandise you buy at certain Disney locations. Signing up for this card and spending $500 in the first three months entitles you to a $100 Disney gift card. I also benefit a great deal with the 2% cash back that they offer on purchases made at restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores and most Disney locations, and 1% cash back on all other purchases. I found it pretty cool when they asked me to choose a credit card design for my card from 8 different options. The only negative I have known so far is the $49 annual fee which again does not seem much if you compare it with the perks and cash back rewards you get. Basically it is the best card for families who are frequent Disney visitors.
